Budding necklace
For this collection I made lots of shapes to look like buds and leaves and experimented with putting them together in different ways. I soldered and fused silver balls into cups for the buds and formed the leaves by putting fabrics and papers through the rolling mill, pressing their textures into the metal and then sawing out the leaf shapes. I used broken sawblades for the crisper lines.

Budding Beauty necklace
Love the way these shapes hang with the buds clustered at the neck. I soldered the three pieces to a silver base and I remember doing a lot of filing work to make sure the back is just as beautiful as the front!
Branching Buds necklace
In this piece I used the some of the components from the previous images to make a more dramatic necklace, held together on the back with another leaf shape.
Buds and Leaves Blossom necklace
This necklace was the final most concentrated piece of the collection and rather fittingly was bought for a blossoming beauty's thirtieth birthday present.
Budding ring
I made a few of these, one plain silver and one with an oxidised grey finish on the leaves. I prefer the contrast of the grey colour and the direction of the leaves makes me think of sycamore seeds propelling to the ground.
