Spectral earrings
Like my Droplets collection I used the same oddly shaped granules that I'd previously melted down and took it a step further, hammering them flat to make these smooth silver pebbles and create
a more 2-dimensional look.
Busy Lizzie earrings
I like the way the flat petals contrast with the perky round ball in the middle which is attached to the ear post and has been fitted through the central hole where the three petals meet.
Chandelier earrings
Love the bold drama of these earrings coupled with the strange realisation that they don't have some of the usual elements of a chandelier. At first glance they have the cascading drops that flow downwards from the ear but on a closer look they don't sway or move and are surprisingly flat, a ghostly shadow of an ornate object.
Forget-me-not earrings
Looking forward to moving this idea on and injecting some colour into similar pieces...
Some of my flattened silver balls waiting to be assembled. It's quite funny that my process involves melting loads of odd little pieces of silver into the perfect spherical granule and then whacking it with a hammer in the hope of producing an interesting and uneven shape.
