From an exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, 'Shared Sky' explored cultural experiences of the night sky and humanity's enduring engagement with the southern stars.
Orbital necklace
Love the effect I've achieved from taking various sized circles and creating astral patterns by fixing them to different points on their orbits.
I continued the effect by making a flat circular chain that diminishes in size as it disappears round the neck.
Orbiting ring
The circles are riveted together on the ring but retain the freedom to spin round, orbiting each other.
I like the circles fixed in place too and couldn't decide whether to keep the circles moving or static but compromised by making a fixed version too.

Like the ring, the circles on these earrings were riveted and could be moved around to get a different effect.
