...moving down under
They know a thing or two about metalwork in Sydney!
Wonderful workshop in the Northern Beaches. Amazing light, a garden full of nectar-eating birds chirping away outside and the beach nearby for a swim after- couldn't get any better while it lasted.
Probably looks like a messy jumble of strange things but this workshop had every tool and piece of equipment imaginable crammed in to this sunny room.
Cracked quartz earrings
Some simple presents made when I didn't have much equipment.
Rose quartz and peach pearl bracelet with silver catch
Temporary set-up in the flat after moving. I found a chair and a great old architect's table in the council clear-up- good to get started on some basic work. This was when I was doing native animal rescue too and the spare room doubled as a mini rescue centre, hence the bird cage under the desk. I usually shared the room with a few injured or baby animals and birds squawking away. When I wasn't attending to them or staring out the window at the sea, I was being observed by nosy sulphur-crested cockatoos on the window ledge... oh yes and sometimes doing some jewellery making of course!
Oh and I couldn't resist adding a picture of one of the occupants of the spare room A&E- a ringtail possum joey.
